im doing a new build on thursday, i have already settled on my components,
i wasnt going to buy a new case, but im sat here looking at my current rig which is in an antec 902 and thinking to myself it looks cramped in there!
do you think im spending willynilly, and being stupid or is it a worthwhile u0pgrade? and i know thios is daft but i want the megahalems cpu cooler and it wont fit in the 902 iirc

The HAF X will give you plenty of room for expansion. Might be overkill for now, but i thought my previous case was big enough at the time. 18 months later it's crammed!!

You seen the Nvidia edition of this case?

Your right, the Megahalems will not fit in an Antec 900/902, so if you have your mind set on using it then the Haf X is a great upgrade. It has uber space in it.

I thought the nVidia edition looked a little cheap :(

Buy things when you can afford them, buy 5 components now, then 2 in March or something;) You dont have to buy everything at once you know

I would say that's bad advice, as although it's possible, buying stuff and not using it, is a bad idea as it's pretty much guaranteed that when you get round to using it, there will be something else that's better is available for the same price, and you'll be kicking yourself that you didn't wait.

+1 - tottally agree.

If you can stretch to it then the HAF X is definitely a worthy upgrade. I recently transplanted my rig over from a Coolermaster Stacker 832 to the HAF X and its been a really good upgrade. Much more space to play with and better cooling all around, oh and all this while being quieter too. The cable management is also excellent, its a really good case for tidy builds.

I changed from a coolermaster atcs 840 to a haf x nvidia edition and its a far better case when it comes to air cooling. To give you an idea my sli gtx 275's idle at 38/40 degrees using the supplied fans and in game they barely get to the 60-65 degree mark.

Cable managment and touches like the psu cover make the build neat and tidy with next to no effort- great case imo

if you need new 200mm fans check the members market! i believe the haf x takes 4 200mm! i hope this is not against the rules as i had a quick look and could not see anything :)
