'Coolermaster Hyper TX3 Evo' good enough to OC Intel i5 2400 3.1GHz on ASRock P67 Pro3?

Iv only just bought this cpu and mobo tonight! and I was just wondering will I need a fresh install of windows? Im thinking about going to linux ubuntu because I cant really afford Win7 atm :/ Will this work with my hdd? I dont have an external hdd and cant really afford one especially with the amount of poop i currently have on my hdd atm :P... I cant afford much this time of year but im doing ok for a teenager *hehe* :D

Thanks

Ohh dear, my second fail tonight! I could have gotten a cheaper 1155 mobo if I knew this! Ah well, at least its future proof i suppose >.> how long to you think this cpu will last me for gaming? any rough idea? iv just upgraded from Intel quad-core Q6600 ALSO do you know about needing a fresh install of windows or linux on my new mobo?

Thanks

call the retailer asap. And if it is already shipped, return the CPU, unopened, under DSR (distance selling regulation).

As for the cooler, it's not the best by a long shot. I would have gotten a Hyper 212+ evo, or a Gelid Tranquillo, or even a Zaward Vapor 120, which is cheaper and performs better.

The advantage over a better cooler is the ease of installation, since it uses standard clips.

IIRC, you can 'refuse' the order, if you are there when the delivery man comes around. Meaning the entire box will be returned to the retailer, and refunded. You may incur shipping of some sort, but if you are there when the goods arrive, you can return everything on the spot and start again.

i might just keep the cpu (i bought the cpu on it own for £100), however i might look into returning my fan for a zaward vapor 120 if its cheaper
