I’m looking to get 2x 3pack CoolerMaster MF120 HALO ARGB and a single MF120 Halo Rgb (7 fans in total)

question is can I run all of them on one controller from the 3pack on my motherboard (ASUS STRIX X570-e)

In this pack the controller is only an rgb controller. These fan have a separate cable for rgb and another for the fans. The controller has no rating on how many amps/watts can be powered through it so be safe and only use the 3 fans per rgb controller. The fans can be daisy chained together also but i would not use more than 3 fans on a single mobo 1 amp fan header as the fans are rated for 0.37amps each from just the fan. 0.37amps*3=1.11amps. some headers are rated for 2 amps but even then your limited to 6 fans and that's pushing it. so i would daisy chain 3 per header for safety as well as 3 fans per rgb controller. your mobo can do this easy.

Another option is to buy a cheap fan controller for all your fans and a separate rgb controller for the rgb and you good to go. This would have course defeat the purpose of the included rgb controller but would save you having 2 rgb controllers and a slew of fan cables running from your mobo.

Sorry I’ve been out the game for a while so I apologise for any stupid questions

That info has been very useful, I appreciate it.

I’ve done some digging and found “masterfan argb and pwm hub” by cooler master.

Would running 2 of these work out?

And if I wanted to connect the 2x 140 from the AIO further down the line do you reckon that would work?

again sorry for the questions

you would only need one of that controller and can use a splitter for any additional fans you require. As a rule you would only want to use one fan type. mixing fans wont work as they all have different speeds. if you want to use your aio fans you would need a second one just for the aio fans but they would be fine being connected directly to the mobo.
