I have been thinking about building a new PC for quite some time now.

I wasn't quite sure which case I initially wanted, but eventually chose this one.

However, does it provide decent airflow for say an i7 based system ?

Thanks !

If it is just a CPU then it would probably be okay. If you have a hot and power hungry graphics card then no I don't think it would be appropriate.

Do Coolermaster design cases for such an purpose ?
Yes they do, unfortunately few of them look much like the Sileo 500. The CM 690 II is probably one of their cheaper cases that isn't completely plastic fantastic that can easily deal with hot components. The ATCS 840 has an aluminium exterior and looks quite good imo, but much bigger and much more expensive.

Fractal Design cases (Core 3000, Arc Midi & R3) have that understated look and can be equipped to deal with hot components.

A recently announced case that might be suitable for you is the Lian Li Lancool PC-K9. Don't know when it will be available in the UK tho.

Hi, I've got the Sileo 500.
It could do with some more fan ports, but other than that it is a great case- well built, very tidy and a joy to install into.
The system looks terrific- understated yet clean and imposing.
Case temp does get a little high when I'm MilkyWay-ing, (even with Akasa Venom case fan), but this is the only issue (I pop the side panel open an inch an problem solved!).
I would recommend this case any day- as long as you don't want windows and LEDs then it ticks all my boxes!

By the way, as you can see from my sig, I run an i5 at 4.5gig and a pair of GTX260s (soon to be upgraded), and have no heat issues except when crunching- even then I'm a long way from serious problems...
