Anyone got any build pictures of the Coolermaster Stacker 831 ? Just seen price and the only 2 pictures of the case today on OCs website. This looks like it can replace my lancool K62. All i need now is to see pics of it and reviews from people who have made builds from it.

You all may think its ugly but i like it. Its simple, has a lot of upgradeability, you can add 9 120mm fans..

boring review here. If this youtube link aint allowed ill delete.

I had one, not a fan.

Here are my observations:

- The motherboard tray is cool, first time you use it - but it makes cable management very difficult.

- The side panels rattle. They don't lock down, so if you move the case at all and it will sound like your own little drum kit.

- The LEDs on the top panel are crazy. I could probably light my room with one of these things. Really annoying.

- No way of carrying it that doesn't dig into your fingers - only an annoyance if you move it a lot.

- PSU is at the top - makes for a rats nest of cables and not ideal for cooling.

- The side fan bracket is extra, as are the fan holders. So if you want all 9 fans - expect to pay £40-50 just to be able to install them all (also, big tower CPU coolers like the TRUE will not play nice with fan door - one of the fans needs to be taken out for the door to close).

If you want a big case with good airflow and loads of room/features - look for the HAF 932 or Cosmos (S).

Few of your problems are resulting in moveing the case. Mines wont move atol it will just sit there. As for the lights, My old branded pc power light was angled, so when you sat next to it in the night it was right in your eye. but i can put up with things like that. Cable management not to botherd. Aslong as i can hide most of the big thick cables.
As the side panels issue. There are no thumbscrews to hold it from opening ? or something?

Im looking for a case in the £90 includeing VAT what has good cooling and a lot of room and is styleish. At the time the lancoolk62 was perfect..now i regret buying. Plastic bezels are bending and i havnt even touched them. More cracks on the side window (lucky its in a small space ). And worse of all the HD cage is RIGHT infront of my sata ports and i gotta reroute the long satacables through a lot of holes and come out into a tight angle into the sata ports. If i used stata ports 6 7 and 8 i would defiantly need a bigger case.

Graphics card wise. 12inch would do. Im never gunna afford something like a 5970.

I agree that some of the problems were to do with moving, but the side panel thing happened whenever you touch them or the computer - annoying but probably not a deal breaker. As for thumbscrews, the way they attach is slide on an then press a button on the back - needless to say it didn't work too well.

As for having good cooling, it does if you put all the fans in. However, it only comes with 2 fans at stock and if you want to add all of them you will have to buy the fan door and fan holders - which pushes the price up quite a bit.

As some alternative, how does this or this strike you?

Fan wise i already bought 4 Akasa AK-FN057 fans for my lancool, i got really bored with the LED fans. I would probly switch them over to the case if i did buy.

The antec 902 iv never liked the look off :( i did consider buying it when i first built my pc. For the cooler master 922. I do kinda like the look of it but its to...(5mins later) fancy? it will stick out like a sore thumb in my room. Military theme isnt my cup of tea. I think ill have to stick to my lancool for a while and see if any more cases come out.
