Hi please could you advise me on what would be a an overall better case to invest in between the coolermaster stacker 832 or akasa eclipse 62, any help would be appreciated, i mean overall space, design, and upgradeability proof etc.

Akasa Eclipse 62... Easily.... look at my "Akasa Eclipse 62's Club" thread to see these cases in all there glory, also note how these cases are sold out very quickly as soon as they come into stock at OcUK, speaks for itself.... ;)

I looked at both and bought the 832, a number of things to think about.

Pro's

It's big, really, really big.

Very easy to work on/in.

Removable hard drive cage.

Removable motherboard tray.

4 usb ports and a firewire port on the front of the case.

USB/Firewire/Audio cables are long enough to reach anywhere on your motherboard, and still be tidy.

Very, very good build quality.

Con's

Trust me it's bigger than you think it is.

Only two 120mm fans supplied as standard.

Top blowhole fan mounting bracket is supplied, but no fan.

If you fit a 8800gtx, you can only use 3 of the 4 fan mounts in the side panel. The other fan fouls the power connectors (unless your brave and want to put a heavy bend in the power cables).

Removable hard drive cage is steel.

A little bit pricey.

Overall I'm very happy with it, and it's build quality feels better than the Lan-li it replaces.

Stacker all the way, it's what I'm buying! But as said, it's big! I currently have a Thermaltake Xaser III (please don't laugh) and I thought that was big. When I saw the pics of the Stacker I thought it was smaller but got tape measure out and it is same height as Xaser III but wider AND deeper. It's gonna be a beast!

Defo the stacker and in the problems stated above, I dont think you will need the fan at the top. I also took the plastic door out which was the frame for the 4 side fans as I simply didnt need it.
