Hi,

I found a coolermaster wavemaster side panel on a certain hardware website (competitor).

Has anyone got one/have any decent sized/quality pictures of it please?

Thanks,
Craig.

I can provide pictures of 201's with windowed side panels if that would do, they are the same panel although the colour of the window may be slightly different.

Interested in those?

You're not allowed to ask for competitors >.< please don't quote them either! ;)

You can see the silver panel with veridant window for the wavemaster on my 111 click the link in my signature for pictures, I also have a silver panel with blue window here if you want me to take pictures of it for you - i've never used it so it's packed away, but i can get it out if you want to see it.

Is that the side panel that fits the coolermaster wavemaster?

Yes they are the same panel, aside from colour on Yewens cases, the 201-SX2, the 111 the praetorian and the wavemaster are all based on the same chasis and as such use the same window panel

problem with the purchased panel, is it shows to much. you can cable tidy as much as you want but where your drives are always looks terrible and the large window shows this off, and it shows some other bits id rather not see.

my idea of ideal window size

Hmmm, yes, it is rather large

It looks like glass in the pics, is it? Wouldn't have thought a glass side panel would be only £20

Oh also, a little off-topic here. But does the Wavemaster come with a converter kit thing to convert the top ports into a fan?

Thanks,
Craig.

No it's not glass it's acrylic, that window is the verident colour, has a slight green tinge to it, giving the impression it's glass i suppose, there is also a blue acrylic version.

I think it depends how you cable tidy and lay out your case

Ok,cool. The one i've been looking at has a green tint to it - I might go for one, and if I really don't like it then i'll just put the normal one back on :)

Thanks for the pics and help :)

Do windows that are marketed as for the wavemaster case have 3 screw points on them? and if so which ATC cases do they fit?

They have 3 screw points and will fit any of the later ATC cases, 201-SX2 the Black Widow, 210,220,111 praetorian etc...

Though bear in mind that the 201s except the later silver widow are all painted, where as the side panels for the wavemaster are anodised iirc

yewen are you planning on doin the whole, drill a fan into the bottom of a wavemaster thing? cos i wanna see if it works !!! :p

Yes I am planning on doing it, just got to get enough time to do a good job of it.

Will be doing a full guide to doing it, if its for good or bad, but it should be good as I have never tried a blowhole on the bottom of the case, if it works it should be very very nice!

Depending on the fan I recon it could add better cooling than any of the old ATCs cases at silent levels, just by sheer amount of fans.

Give me mid July and I should get it done. Going to do a mockup on another case first to see what to expect. That should be before the end of this month hopefully, will be doing it to a charity PC.

I will be keeping people up to date, but it will probably take me a whole day to do the mod and then a few hours for the guide, I don't do things by half and I need to work out the best filtration system for a fan pointing to my floor!

Will be more news, if you want more info on what I have planned feel free to add me to MSN and I can give you some speil on why I think this will solve the trouble with the Wavemaster and SLI, as ultimately this is the reason why I am modding the case.

sounds pretty sweet, i suppose after this is done the case would benefit from a better outake fan than the standard one as theres should be more in take than outtake, actually, 2 blocked out fans and a working one would probly level out with 2 outakes and the gfx card outake. wait and see i suppose

I wil be most likely using the rear fan as a intake aswell.

Complicated, but I will be setting the case up for the best possible temperatures I can get out of it while being silent.
