COOLERMASTER Z600 CPU COOLER same TEMPERATURE AS STOCK CPU!

Hi!
I have coolermaster Hyper Z600 second day now on my E8500!

Strange, but CORE TEMP shows SAME temp as stock crappy cooler!
Idle 41C, Load 50C...while browsing web, skype, etc. 44-45C

Can it be CORE TEMP ISSUE?

AS WHEN I BROWS BIOS HARDWARE MONITORE SHOWS 20C-25C???
did it couple of times, to check temp..

can you recommend other program?

Try a program called RealTemp and see what that says.

it is probably managing the same adequate cooling as teh stock one but for far less noise.

The idle temp wont change much with any cooler, its the 100% load temps that you should see a main diffrence in.

Hi, Real temp now shows 35-36 while core temp 40-41! :confused:

Is the best CPU temp monitor is BIOS?

Core Temp & Real temp will read the actual cores were's the BIOS nay read the socket temp.

Check the T Max setting- (I think that is what is called) between Real & Core temp.

Check your full load temp.

My z600 works really well on my CPU.

Reduced Idle temperatures from 30 to 20 degrees C on stock speeds. I'm using a C2D, E6320 at 1.86ghz. I've overclocked it to 2.45, and now it idles at around 33 degrees. and never goes above 46 degrees. I have a 1 x Xilence 120mm fan on it with a fan speed controller running it round at lowest speed although it doesn't need it. Can't complain myself.

My friend (who sold me my Z600) has the same cooler, and he has the same E6320 running at 3.2/3.4ghz, and he keeps his CPU well bellow the 65 degree mark.

Not sure what to suggest? Try using different/better thermal paste perhaps?

well!
i removed one front case fun and placed on Z600...
I am playing Dead Space + skype, different websites : Real temp shows 43-38...Core Temp aboutd 48-50C...I SUITE shows 30-35C

I've used Silver 3, which ment to be good, dunno...can't be asked to remove mobo and all components

I've placed 1x12mm fan, and temperature still the same
