coolest 4890?

The coolest would be the sapphire but that is over £200

The rest i saw on overclockers look to have the Reference cooler, which keeps the card at about 70 under load, but it also depends on the airflow in your case.

my XFX http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-124-XF&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat= has reached a max of 72 playing Crysis Warhead at enthusiast.

Some more 4890 will probably be released with non-reference coolers, but by the time you wait for that the 5 series will be even closer

it's ultimately your choice for the ones under £170, go for a good brand, with a long warranty. You can get some of the higher clock cards under 170 too, but the XFX i have is running stable on 950/1050, if you wanted to overclock

i deffo wont overclock. im not expecting anything spectacular. i have heard that that is the hottest so i feel better about the others. thanks

when this week only offer ends tomorrow, the XFX won't go up much either.

It does extremely well in crysis, provided your CPU is also not bottlenecking the card
