Cooling a 9900k

I've got a build on order which includes the 9900k as the processor. I've been reading that it runs hot, especially when overclocked. So I'm wondering whether my method of cooling would be enough considering I ideally want to OC it to 5ghz if possible.

I have this cooler on order but I'm currently waiting for it to come in. Would this cooler be suitable or should I look at alternatives/reconsider my overclocking plans?

It should work fine, keep in mind while it might be 0-2c better than top tier air at same noise levels, it costs about twice as much and won't last as long .. and when it fails you will have no cooling at all until you replace it. I wouldn't use it, but if I was forced to I would keep an air cooler on hand so when CLC fails I can put it on and be able to use my system. ;)

The best air cooler is Thermalright TRUE Spirit 140 Power cost less than 1/3 as much but posslbe drawback is it's 171mm tall and 155mm wide .. but it cools as well as your TT and a couple degrees better than NH-D15 at same fan speed .. D15 costs about 1/2 as much .. NH-D15S is maybe 2c warmer and cost even less than D15, but still much more than TRUE Spirit 140 Power.
