Hi people,

For my new build I want to go with a silent/near-silent case. Basically, this will allow me to run the machine at night whilst I render video, bounce audio tracks etc, and not bother anyone else in the house with loud computer fan noises, etc.

However, reading a couple of reviews people are suggesting that keeping the components in this case cool is not an easy task. I think they're putting it down to the 800rpm stock fans. So, my question is - Would I be able to put in some quicker fans, say some Corsair Quiet Edition fans at 1100rpm, bringing the temperature down but still keep the noise down?

Thanks,

- Anthony.

Hi,
I chose this case for a 2nd build last March. We did swap out the stock fans for 2 120mm Ultra Quiet Venom Viper Cool Fans. I also removed the top HDD cage which improves things a lot.
After tweaking the BIOS fan control, all is well.

Well that's good to hear. It's just an ideal case considering the price, features and purpose. Just didn't want to end up with a heap of melted plastic by the end of the first week.

Cheers,

- Anthony.
