Hi I run a stream box that I have built it is
AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 955 Black Edition 3.20GHz (Socket AM3) - Retail [HDZ955FBGMBOX]
Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H AMD 880G (Socket AM3) microATX DDR3 Motherboard
Patriot G Series 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C9 1333MHz Dual Channel (PGS34G1333ELK) [PGS34G1333ELK]
Corsair H50-1 High-Performance CPU Water cooler (Socket LGA775/1156/1366/AM2/AM3) [CWH50-1]
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium - Fatal1ty Professional Series 7.1 Sound Card (70SB088600000) [70SB088600000]
OcUK Crusade 1050W Dual Rail High Efficiency Modular Power Supply
Nvidia Geforce 9400 GT

OS:Linux 2.6.34-12-desktop x86_64

System:openSUSE 11.3 (x86_64)

KDE:4.4.4 (KDE 4.4.4) "release 2"

the core runs from 38 to 45 c
the ram temp is 30c
the silver block on the board runs at 48 c

I have left the board on standard set up and I stream for 4 hours at a go but the case slowly heats up and I cannot get the temperature down I have a multi fan Phantom case and I have all the fans running.
any thoughts what to do to bring the temp down or is it ok
running the four core it hardly works unlike my last computer that ran at 50 % use to stream, with the new set up and card it sounds and runs so much better.

Temps seem fine, you could allways check that cables are not obstructing airflow through the case, if they are try and tidy them away with cable ties and the like, good air flow is key.

But that being said those temps are not bad at all.

I use it for graphics and desk top publishing so having the power of the four core makes it work better

thank you all for your help and advice as this is the first big build I have done and I am still learning on how you can change the set ups
