How good are these cases at cooling compared to lower end cases like the Antec 300 or the Coolermaster Advanced/ Haf 922.

I'm looking at cases like the Lian Li PC-V351B and at systems like this one:

and I was wondering how effective they are at cooling the components inside them?

For a casual gamer who only games a few times a week would this be enough? They look really good and seem very pratical for someone who is close to space/doesn't like big bulky ugly cases in the way. So I'm just wondering if their worth it or sticking to a normal case is the best bet?

The V-351 that you listed is a m-atx case rather than an ITX or Shuttle. It won't support flex-atx which is what the shuttles takes, it will support ITX, but why use that when it supports M-ATX.

The V-351 should be capable of cooling pretty much whatever you put in it, providing its not 2x 480GT and some stupidly overclocked chip that you want running at 10 degrees :D

No for casual gaming and "normal" use you should be fine. If you have a look through the past threads you'll see a large number of projects that have been based around gaming like yourself and using far smaller cases than this.

I'm actually building a project in that case next week (i5 760, 4GBDDR3, HD5670). Its more for work purposes though.

You might want to look at the Silverstone SG05 if you're looking for really small. There are plenty of M-ITX cases around which will do. Good luck.

A Li PC-V351B isn't really that small to be honest and the interior could have been laid out so much better.

I'd go for Lian Li PC-Q07 based system. Looks nice and dinky. A nice challenge to get everything in to it too, I'd imagine. :D

Heres a one with the q 07 I did for a friend earlier. Nice little case.
