I'm looking into a new build for a graphic editing PC based on a i7 920 which I shall overclock. I need your advice on whether the cooling I'm thinking of will be sufficient as I understand these i7 chips can run quite hot.
I'm looking at buying this case:
Coolermaster CM-690 Dominator
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-145-CM&tool=3
It comes with 3 x 120mm fans as standard (left, front and rear) with the ability to add 120 or 140 mm fan x 2 to the top, a 120 mm fan to the bottom and and extra 120mm fan to the left (which would make a total of 2).
For the CPU cooler I'm considering the Corsair H50. I'm assuming that I'll attach the rear 120mm case fan to the H50 radiator.
The PSU will be a Seasonic which has its own 120mm fan.
With that cooler and the 3 standard 120mm case fans would that be sufficient? Or, with the H50 being used it seems to be recommended to draw air in to the case from outside over the radiator, so should I install an extra fan to push hot air out at the top?
I'd like to try and keep the system fairly quiet if possible. I'm not very experienced at cooling so any advice gratefully received.
