I have a standard amd cooler on my 4200 at the mo & I am trying to figgure out where to go next!
Basically I am bored & when I'm bored I start to overclock!
I have had a look round and there doesn't seem to be a lot "new" since I clocked my 939 system

One I came across howver is the "Titan Amanda" Any one used one? any comments? it seems expensive...but if it works...

The other option is to look at watercooling, but I really dont know much about it.

We are in the process of emigrating to Australia, my wife is already over there, I am just waiting for the house to sell (which is why I'm bored!)
so I am also wondering about the effects of higher ambient temps on any cooling system, presumeably it does make a difference.

Any comments or suggestions gratefully recieved!

I have a zalman 9500AM2 on my 4200 and its running at 2.8Ghz with load temps of 57C. Need a new mobo which will allow me more volts to go further... than 1.3v :-/

The new zalman 9700AM2 isnt in stock yet but is a bit bigger and gives 4-5C less too :-)

Awesome coolers....

make sure u seat them on artic silver tho, for best cooling!

Or even better, Arctic cooling MX-1, as it's better.. full stop :D

The amanda apparantly wont touch your idle temps, but helps with load temps. Other decent coolers to consider are the tuniq tower, thermalright ultra 120 /extreme, Noctua nh-u12f. All very good coolers.

tuniq tower on am2 isnt very secure at all and moves and seems very free. the zalman aero flower, looks the sex, and great performance...
