hi all
i have recently join the forum as i am going to build a gaming rig, i have 4 years as a computer and communications technicion (mainly computer) so i know my way around a computer or i like to think i do, although i havent a clue about liquid cooling.

I have just bought an Asus maximus II Formula and i am waiting for that to be delivered, i have been looking at the Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 and the Intel Core 2 Extreme Q6700.
i have been looking at liquid cooling the sytem basically because i will be over clocking the cpu and maybe the gpu, Upto now i have found these ---

ThermalTake CL-W0032 AquaBay M1 2U Level + Flow Indicator - £25
and this
ThermalTake CL-W0121-03 BigWater 760is Liquid Cooling - £90

will these do the job for cooling both the CPU and GPU? or will i need anything else?
If you know of anything that will do a better job please let me know, i have to say the other thing i like about these are the way they look in the front of a case so i need to take that into consideration if you recommend anything else.

Thanks for reading
John

Hello and welcome to the forums :)

The bigwater is not very popular around here due to the poor performance, your better off saving some money and buying a after market air cooler like the Thermalright ultra, or have a look at the Swiftech kit's - Clicky

Don't buy Thermaltake. Have a search on ebay for watercooling and you'll find lots of thermaltake kits people are trying to sell. There's a good reason for this - they're crap and people want rid of them.

Swift looks good but the graphics card I've been looking at is the 9800gts will this fit or will I need other parts? Also the swift looks a little expensive for me, is there any cheaper options? I know you get what you pay for but that is slightly high.
