hey guys i need some advice on my fan setup. I have the antec df 10 case it has 2 fans, a 160mm on the top and a 120mm at the back and both are export. The antec kuhler h2o 620 is the cpu cooler im getting and its fan/radiator goes where my current back 120mm fan is. My worry is the lack of intake fans, there is a 120mm bracket on the side door to connect a fan and it is also possible to fit 2 120mm fans at the front of the case. Will this be healthy airflow, or should I fit extra fans, suggestions?

Too many fans can upset the airflow.

I've found from my own case that using one 140mm low down at the front, 120mm rear, and 140mm at the top supply a perfect airflow from top to bottom.

Every time I've added more fans be it to the side or higher up at the front it seemed to make either one of the CPU or graphics card get slightly hotter.

Ok thanks. I think i should atleast have 1 intake fan, so I will probably put 1 on the side door or at the front. Also when my cpu cooler arrives the radiator/fan goes where my current 120mm back fan is, and I will have to take that off so I could put it at the front. Also I would imagine the radiator fan will be intake, if so Is it best to set the fan Im adding to the front/side to export?

So would that be the same with my case?

Its got 7 fan cooling options with dual 200mm, single 230/200mm, triple 120mm, and front 140mm fan options

at the moment i'm running the standard package
Intake:doulble side 120mm
exhaust: single 120mm rear, single 200mm top

I've been thinking about getting another front intake 140mm & another top 200mm exhaust , so would i see any drops in temp?

I have the same case and have added a front 140mm and top 200mm but intake rather than exhaust (both NZXT fans), not intentionally but erm that's how it ended up and it actually does a very good job. My case temps came down by almost 6 degrees after adding that 2. The 200mm was for the side but wouldn't fit with my heatsink. I then bought a Xigmatek 200mm for the side as it has only a 20mm profile rather than 30 and I have about 4 mm space left between that and my Xigmatek Dark Knight heatsink.

ok just update you on my situation. the fan that comes with the antec h2o 620 is actually an exhaust fan. I am taking the back fan off the case so i can fit the new radiator and fan and im fitting it into the front of the case as an intake fan. I am also fitting another fan to the side door as an intake so I think i should get good air flow. air in through the front, side and out through the back and top. The cpu cooler doesnt restrict the airflow being small, and my case has cables tucked away nicely :)

Sounds perfect :D

I am not that experienced with computers, the reason i went sandybridge is for the easy auto overclocks but I think I should be fine with cooling, its basic I guess all it needs is air in, air out and good flow :)
