I've now completed the final wiring runs and setup of my new PC.
I have a Thermaltake Armour Jr. case.
I'm a little concerned that the airflow into the lower half of the case isn't all it should be!
At the moment, I have the front fan blowing inwards, the rear blowing out, and the CPU fan blow into the rear exhaust fan.
The lower half of my case carries a 8800GT OCed to 730MHz core.
It gets a bit warm.
It seems that the HD drive enclosure is getting in the way of the air flow through the case, but the HD is only at about 25 degrees C. (I have an external Akasa temp monitor with stuck on temperature probe)
I really want a way to cool my Graphics card without mounting additional noisy fans.
My options as I see them.
1. Remove the HD cage and relocate the HD drive elsewhere in the case (Nowhere else offers as good a cooling location)
2. Fit a fan to the small side window in the case (stock position would blow over the VRMs on the mobo and the top of my sound card)
3. Fit another fan in the bottom of the case blowing upwards towards the GFx card (unsightly and not necessarily good)
4. Get hold of some sort of fan which would fit in the slot below the graphics card and blow cool air from outside the case in and onto the card. (Don't know if such a thing exists)
Any thoughts???
Andy
