Hiyahh!!

Im somewhat new here still... and trying to get involved :P

I am a keen wee gomputer fan, like my hardware and overclocking, so i am not new to it :) I can do it nice enough on a wee budget :D lol

Today i have a few small questions...

1st question, i feel like my temps are high for a 3800+ toledo at 2.7... both kick about 64/65C when full load...? and kick about 39/40 on desktop...

I dont want to oc any more as i think its high... what do you think?

2nd question, involves my case and air flow! Here is my case as it is right now (yeah i know its rubbish lol)

Clicky!

Basically i showed that to get ideas... like what direction should the air flow be? I only have the window fan and the rear ran connected... the one at the top is unplugged and there isnt one at the front (at hdds) :(

Trying to keep it somewhat cool and quiet lol

What direction should the air be going on the 2 that i am using, and think its worth while to enable the third up at the top of the case... and what air direction?

Many thanks everyone!!

Craig!! :D

You want the window fan sucking air in, the rear and top sucking air out. Cables could do with tidying as well. ;) You really could do with a front fan as well. 120mm if you can fit one there. In fact if you can 120mm fans would be better in all places.

Temps are a bit high but you do have quite an overclock on it. You could try getting a better cooler for the cpu.

what case do you have ?

if its generic any chance you have access to some tools to make some 120s fit ?

it is some generic one... bought in some other huge retail well known scammer computer shop... god knows how many years back! lol

Its quite small and cramped inside... i doubt i could mod it take 120mm's :(

Think ill be looking for case suggestions next lol

I would edit out the competitor before a Don gives you a slapping. ;)

You can get a case with decent cooling for very little cash these days. Obviously the more you spend the better quality you will get but you don't need to spend a fortune. I built a pc for someone recently who was on a very tight budget and got them a nice little case for around £25. Yes it was cheap and probably a bit nasty but it did have front and rear 120mm fans with fan controllers and all the usual front connections such as USB, firewire and audio. First thing i did though was rip out the psu.

You can get a Jeantech Phong ll for around £38 which although not to everyones taste, has excellent cooling with a 140mm and a 120mm fan and both are on a controller.
