Ive just got my new case

Coolermaster Stacker 830 (how big?!!)

tomorrow should arrive my new parts.

BFG 680 motherboard

BFG 8800 gtx

2 gb ram

tuniq tower cooler

intel Qx6700 quad chip

2 x raptors

1 x 320 gb hitachi

1 benq dvdrw

floppy drive ;)

the cooler master ships with a fan at the front and 1 more large fan for the top I guess.

Can somebody advise what other fans (type / how many) I should put in the case to keep temps down.

Might even splash out for a bit of colour in there as well ;)

Any help appreciated.

You shouldn't need any more than one intake and one exhaust to get good temps. Might be worth fitting one 120mm fan on the side for the graphics.

depends on if you mind the fan noise.

if not the stacker can take 4 fans on the side, 2 front intakes, one exhaust, and one on the top. That should keep it cool enough

thanks fellas - all the parts arrived today - cant believe how big the Tuniq is... and then the tower... new desk needed :)

Well I dont want it sounding like a hovercraft ;)

so Ill go with 1 for the 8800gtx - 1 exhaust and 1 intake and see how it goes.

Any particular ones to try ?

Nexus 120mm from ~ £6.50 - £12
Sharkoon 1000 120mm from ~ £7 - £8

From those I would probably get the sharkoons, they are very quiet, relatively cheap, come with noise reducing rubber 'screws' and look quite good. The zalmans are also good fans for the price as you get a resistor which lets you swap fan speed between 1800 and 900 rpm.
