Cooling implications if I use just one fan on rear of CPU cooler?

I want to buy a Prolimatech Red & Black cooler (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...30&subcat=2349) which is 74mm in depth, which means with the additional width of a fan, it will completely cover the first RAM slot, which will be no good for the 4 sticks of RAM that I'm going to get (2 red, 2 black) with taller heatsinks. (Corsair Vengeance). For aesthetic reasons I really want all 4 slots filled.

This won't be a problem however if I just mount a fan on the back of it as that will leave just enough clearance for all 4 RAM slots to be filled.

Will doing this fan arrangement adversely affect the cooling in any way?

I'm not really bothered about an extra 1 or 2c but before I go down this route I'd like to be reassured it's not going to mean a crazy drop in cooling performance of something like 10c or more.

Any advice would be welcome...

2-4C typically I would think. maybe better if you have well sorted airflow in the case.
I use vengeance with the heatsinks off, but I have no window and am no aesthete.
