For some reason, overclockers no longer stocks the gelid tranquillo. Can anyone else recommend a quiet (important- the quieter the better) and cheap (£25-30) cpu cooler with good cooling capabilities on the 2500k?

Also, off topic, I read that p1155 boards don't like high voltage ram, so I bought some low voltage 1.35v 1600mhz ddr3 ram, with the added benefit of less heat.
I couldn't find any specific information on whether it would be compatible or not, so I just took the risk and got it. Will it be compatible?

Thanks.

I specced up a close friend of mine the Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2. It's a ridiculously popular choice because of its cooling capabilities, and my friend says he can hardly hear it, and I agree, when i'm on his PC, it's fairly silent.

Extremely cheap too, so your saving a little bit of dosh.

Check your motherboard manufacturers webby, they should have a list of compatible RAM. But I think it should be fine, the voltage is supposed to be 1.5v or less, so no problem. Higher is okay too apparently, ocuk use 1.65v xms3 ram in their bundles. Also, i made a thread like this a while ago, the freezer 7 rev 2 was the most popular choice for cheap heatsinks :)

Remember reading a review on that one, completely forgot about it. £20 seems like a bargain, and it means I can upgrade to a d14 at a later date guilt-free. Do you know if it will be a difficult to fit to my p8p67 pro mobo? Could't find any references in the reviews.
Thanks danzhang, thats one less thing to worry about.

Should be very easy, there are youtube guides. It is quite a light cooler, so there is no retention plate that needs to be installed at the back of the mobo, so it will kind of be like installing a larger stock cooler! Should come with a guide as well :) you could even fit it after putting your mobo in the case, but thats not the easiest way.
