Cooling pad

I bought one for my Dell Studio 15 as it has terrible thermal performance and used to shut down quite a bit during Pvp in Lotro, in that respect it reduced the number of crashes i was experiencing so you could say it worked, but don't expect amazing performance. I have a logitech N100 but i dont think OCuk stock it.

Only use the laptop for browsing now so don't tend to use it. Its probably still worth it if im using it for extended periods though because it does get pretty hot.

It depends on your laptop. If it is poorly designed and all the air vents are on the bottom and you have it sat on your lap or a soft material (bed/sofa) then it will probably help. A lot have vents on the bottom and they don't have enough height to keep it away from a surface so it causes problems.

I bought a Zalman one for my XPS 1530, they are notoriously bad for cooling and Ive already had one full mobo replacement from Dell. It made a massive difference on that machine and I dont use it without the pad now.
