All,

just about got bits for new rig:
i7 920 D0 CPU
Gigabyte GA-EX58-UDA Motherboard
Corsair XMS3 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C9 1333MHz Triple Channel (TR3X6G1333C9)
Prolimatech Megahalems Performance CPU Cooler
Artic Silver 5
and lastly managed to grab
VTX ATI Radeon HD 5870 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

So I hope to try and get 4.0Ghz out of this chip and I have never OCKD the i7.

So firstly for the Megahalems cooler - 1 or 2 fans, and any recommendations for the best fan to keep the cpu cool at 4.00Ghz.

Secondly I know I will have to up the Voltage on the CPU and maybe the ram.

So What is max volts for the i7 so I do not kill it, and what is the max temp when running full chat at 4.0Ghz.

I can ensure that I do not reach those temps and Volts.

Thanks all

nice rig :)

you should be able to get 4Ghz under 1.35V, which should be fine for that cooler, might be able to go a lot lower to keep the temps down.
2 fans are always better than 1 :)
RAM voltage just set it to you RAMs default 1.65ish and once you have a stable overclock on the CPU either overclock the RAM or undervolt it.

i have my CPU at 1.275V for 4.2Ghz
