Cooling and lowering dB!

Hey, i've just purchased a rather pricey Silverstone TJ07:D. However the stock fans are a bit too noisy for my liking. I have a fan control but I don't feel this reduces the noise enough.

Anyways I'm looking for ways to reduce the noise a bit. :p
So this is what i've come up with so far. Some advise would be really helpfull.

1. Get 2 x 120mm noctua fans (1200rpm, 17 dB). Not sure weather to get the 800rpm version which is only 8dB but abviously not as powerfull?

2. Not sure what 92mm fans to get, noctua doesn't seem to do any. So some advise would be good here.

3. I have a raptor x 150gb hard drive, and it makes a fair amount of noise so was thinking of getting a "GUP Japan Smart Drive 2002C Hard Drive Silencer". It will mean 1 less 120mm fan, But Will this keep my HD cool, has anybody tried them yet?

4. Put some Acoustic Absorption Material in, But seen as the case has air vents would this really help

thanks :)

Those Noctua fans are pretty poor, IMO. Anybopdy can make a fan really quiet if it doesn't move any air. I'd be much more inclined to get a set of Yate Loon D12SL-12s and 7V-mod them.

Noctua NF-S12 = 17dBA, 48CFM
120mm Yate Loon D12SL-12 = 47 CFM, 27 dBA

So from that the Noctua looks the best, right

apparently the noctua's have a poor preasure something...

This is true and you have hit the nail on the head, if there is any restriction either sucking or blowing for want of better terms the Noctua will not perform well.

The Yate loons are well known favs that work very well @ 7v and are used by most enthusiasts, they are also cheap:D

Ok so are these available in 92mm aswell. Also will they be better then the stock silverstone fans.

Any opinions on my other ideas?
