Hi

I have 3 banks of ram memory modules that I am looking at adding cooling to.
I have two 5mm fans (recycled) that I could attach to some form of cage. But not confident that I could securely attach it around/over the modules.

I have cleared all the cables out of the way, increasing airflow.

I would also like your thoughts on the necessity of doing this and if it is necessary to cool the southbridge.

My Northbridge has a heatsink on it and my southbridge appears to have none. Not really sure what the southbridge looks like. I take it its the square black chip with its corners cut off.

Your thoughts and suggestions would be much appreciated.........

If you are running RAM within the normal voltage range you don't need to cool it.
I'm running 6 strips and they are currently sitting about 41'c with no direct cooling.

Your southbridge will be fine with the standard cooling.
