Hi

anyone suggest a good air cooler for the Q6600 which I am waiting for at this moment in time. May do some overclockig in the future.

Thanks

John:)

Tuniq 120 is the best HSF for air cooling

This comes across as a definitive statement of fact which of course it isn't.
At best it's opinion based on some experience although by reputation they are very good and it would be on many a shortlist.

Thermalright units are normally some of the most effective although you can have problems with the base and may have to resort to lapping.

For keeping the noise down Noctua's are good, quiet and perhaps more important subjectively quiet.

You may wish to check out this Link.

The poster suggests the Tuniq Tower beats an alternative handsomely although you may wish to decide for yourself how significant some of the differences are.

I would suggest the differences, particularly on stable overclocks, between most of the better units is not significant and has little if any practical consequence unless you simply want the maximum possible overclock.
