Cooling unit

Anyone, dont know if this would be the right route to go down. Having chilled water, rather than rad cooled water does seems like a better idea.
Just wondered if people dont do it cause of the cost?

would need the bigger one really. But would be nice to see one in action
Water chillers are not new to the overclocking boys. They have been using them for quite some time now

depending on how much below ambient it cools, it might not generate any condensation, worth trying, but use with a rad not on its own or it wont be as effective

These chillers you refer to are originally used on aquarium systems. mainly marine tanks (i used to use one on my 350 gallon reef tank).

for these units you pre programme the temperature you want maintained.

Owing to the size of the unit you use, for the chiller to work effectively you will require a pump large enough to circulate the recommended no of litres required to maintain the temperature selected.

If the pump is not large enough the chiller will fail to maintain and cool the water.

Also for effective use the chiller should be place outside and housed for the air exchange.

Also they are required to be run 24hrs a day for effective use.

You may also need to neoprene the cpu socket for condensation.

Your electricity bill will be another problem as these units are not cheap to run either

if my maths is correct that sucker can pump 16.6 litres per min ! hope you got some good hose clips :)

So you would require aquarium type pumps

hose clamps i reckon

You would not require a pc rad either if you use this type of chiller
