After playing bf4 a bit I could do with a cpu overclock to about 4ghz I reckon.

at stock I can really hear the fans start kicking in.

Im after a decent cpu cooler for a 6300 max of £60. And need a really quiet intake fan for the case as well.

what would you guys reccommend.

im running a

6300
gtx 680
8gb 1600mhz ram
Gigabyte d3 mobo
500w psu

Thats a shame..

Your CPU cooler clearence is only 150mm so that rules out all decent air coolers.

Im not sure whether a H60/H80 will fit either...

Doesn't the 680 get hot in that case?

No its not to bad theres actually a fair bit of room in the cas just need a quiet intake fan on the front and was thinking of getting a

Corsair Hydro H55 Quiet Liquid CPU Cooler

As I think that should fit

Or how about Alpenföhn K2 Mount Doom CPU Cooler
Cpu cooler height is 140mm

The K2 is 164mm tall..

You were reading the 140mm fan measurements. :D

As for the H55/H60, it could fit but i don't know about the position of the back fan, it may be too close to the side for it to fit properly.

If it does fit the h60 (refurb maybe) would be a good purchase..

U sure

Low profile coolers aren't really designed with overclocking in mind, they are deisgned to offer good temps and low noise in small spaces.. I don't think it'll really stand up to an overclock..

yeh only planning on a 0.5ghz overclock so hoping it will be able to handle it.

Thinking I might go for this as its pretty cheap as well

Be Quiet! Shadow Rock Topflow SR1

reviews look alright
