Hi, i been reading a lot on LN2 cooling and Dice, but i know there for real wierdos that wana get world record and blow up a perfectly good pc for the sake of it. i was wondering can i get - celcuis with out going that extreme, something i can use for long periods.

Yes, with a phase change cooling system you can have negative temps for sustained periods. Vapochill is a popular brand of phase unit and there are several custom manufacturers noted for their excellent work.

It's definitely overkill unless you know what you're doing as an extreme overclocker. :)

erm i always thought phase change cooling was nitro i guess i was wrong mind explaining what is phase change colling?

ARGH!!!! The "Can I use a mini fridge" or even a normal fridge has been done several times. Normal fridges aren't designed to cool the kind of output your CPU will give constantly, they are designed to cool to a certain temp, then stop, then when it starts to rise again, it starts to cool again, and so on. So constantly dumping heat on it will overload it

okies okies dont get so upset :P what about if the reserwua(cant spell it, part of water cooling) was in the fridge with water cooling outside, it will be like a extra cooling to the water cooling?

It may work for a little bit longer. But fridges aren't design to constantly cool something that produces heat. Take a bottle of coke for example, once you cool it to a certain temp, it doesn't then warm itself up to significantly above that temp. So the fridge doesn't have to work very hard. Even putting the reservoir in the fridge would be more load than the fridge was designed for.

oooooooo, so if phase change is sumular to a fridge isn;t there a way of modding the fridge/freezer so it will become a pase change therefore allowing to cool soming that will produce heat?

I believe it has been done. I've not got any links though. Do a google for it. It is much simpler to just buy a phase change unit though. As you would need to upgrade the pump, gas and possibly some other things. I am no expert though
