i had this supposed to be air tight cooler just over 2 years then the other night while playing battlefield 4 my pc froze,i thought it was bf4 crashing again until i noticed the floor was wet,on closer inspection,my gtx670 was covered in goo and the mother board was fried, and soaked in this liquid,i got in touch with coolit support and informed them, they said they could not do anything,as my warranty had expired.
i would not touch another coolit product ever, its not worth the hassle,i had to buy a new mother board and cooler and install windows again ,
luckily my gtx 670 still works, nightmare product and company.

This is the sort of risk you run with watercooling.

'Maintenance Free' is not a positive selling point for me on the All In One coolers. Maintenance is essential in a custom loop, let's you spot problems before they occur and means things like this are less likely happen.

Being out of Warranty Sucks for you though, although whether they would cover other components in a failure event even during warranty may be interesting!

Waterccooling done properly is largely risk free. The only leak i have had in the 7-8 years i have been watercooling is when i first started i over tightened a barb into a plexi reservoir.

Unfortunately, coolit never did anything properly. Their setups are prone to leaking/failing and this is the second thread in just over a week describing a disaster from one of their apalling procucts.

no they wont cover other components they said it was the risk i took .
then offered for me to buy another of there coolers,i replied for them to stick it wouldn't buy another one of there dodgy products ever.

Liquid + electronics, what can go wrong!? :p TBH the risk is fairly negligible vs units shipped. Sucks for you though, OP :(

You could claim it under you home insurance, not sure it would be worth it though

Problem with watercooling is that if something does go wrong, it can be disastrous to all the other components around it. I'm not going to rely that any piece of equipment is never going to go wrong. That's especially the case if it's some cheap AIO water cooler that you can't do any maintenance on, costs twice as much as a good air cooler, and doesn't perform any better than one.
