Hi Peeps,

Got a CoolIt Eco ALC in my gaming rig, just wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of a guide for changing the pipes to clear ones with our without a reseviour if such a thing exists. :)

Thanks

Doesnt that defeat the point of buying a sealed cooling system in the first place :P. Maybe you should suggest that they bring out versions of the ECO/Vantage that has clear pipes, maybe even ECO's that come with different colored fluids :D

When I ordered my rig I had not really researched water cooling side other than it was preferable if you wanted to overclock your CPU. Since then I have seen photo's of people gaming rigs on this site and the ones with custom water cooling systems with clear pipes, coloured fluids and anti kink springs ect look awsome. So I was wondering if it was possible to mod the cooling system thats in my rig rather than start again from scratch. I would suggest to Coolit that they do this with their coolers, but given the likelyhood of them A) Deciding to bring out one with clear pipes and coloured fluid just because I asked is extremely small & B) If by some amazing reason they do decide to do this I would think it would take some time until said redesign hit the retail sector, and I am not a patient man!! And am also back to square one again with the cooler I have being redundant.

Having watched some of those modding vids on the tube i don't get it i must be thick surely people would be better off selling the closed loop and just doing their own 120 rad loop .

Hi Guys, I am with Rizla on this one.. adding fans, lapping and putting different TIM on a sealed loop is A OK but you really shouldn't tamper with the liquid loop for any reason other than entertainment / a fun project.

As for pretty lights and colours, we have Vantage out now w/ an RGB LCD sreen and Maestro is coming soon which will let you do RGB lighting in your whole chassis, and control all your fans.. even upload your own image to our LCD.

Cheers,

Barry @ CoolIT
