CoolIT Freezone Elite TEC Cooler pre-order now. Offering massive cooling performance the Elite TEC cooler is one of the highest performing solutions available today. Designed with Quad Core processors in mind and able to dissipate 250W this is an overclockers dream.

Depends what levels of cooling you require and what you are prepared to do to your case in the name of cooling.

In the correct application its a great cooler but for the majority of people a Prolimatech or Titan Fenrir is a better option.

Hey Guys - hope you don't mind us stepping in here!

Basically the main difference with the Freezone and other cooling units is that it’s an active chiller rather than just a method of dissipating heat.

The 6 TECs strapped to the side of the large Alu heatsink draw the heat from the liquid loop, so if you were to run the Freezone Elite on its own, it’d get liquid temps down to 5 or 10 degrees C!

It’s designed for those who don’t necessarily want to build a complete setup from scratch for example the excellent Swiftech kit

The FE however is extremely easy to install and offers some fantastic cooling thanks to CoolIT Systems’ patented MTEC™ design. It also is popular among some of the modding scene, we’ve seen some pretty trick rigs ;)

The USB controller gives you complete control of Fan speed and TEC power and features a unique predictive cooling method which will ramp up cooling power as CPU load increases – keeping temps much more consistent rather than the traditional method of kicking in more cooling once temps reach a certain level.

We’ve had a few initial reviews, but there have since been updates with the CPU block (now Microchannel) and the retention which we found made a fantastic difference on load temps. Expect more soon!

Any questions??
