hi all,

this is my first post, and i just bought myself the case above. I was wondering if anyone knows the grills at the front of the chassis have to come out in order to accommodate drives and hard disks? as it would look way better if i can somehow get away with having the grills there.

Welcome to the forum Hussain

Not really understanding your question, but i do know this is one flexable case so you should be able to do lots with it

I think you mean do I have to take the grills out to accomodate the drives.

yes if you're talking DVD type and no if your talking HDD type.

You say "it would look way better if i can somehow get away with having the grills there"

Do you mean without? like a flush finish.

I agree it would look sleek but would lose a lot of it's cooling prowess.

Like I say, not sure i've understood the question, but i'm sure they're are tons of guys on here who can help out.

re

hi,

sorry the post was not clear, but i think you understood the context. I cant remember which website i came acorss, but apparently someone managed to have a dvd/cd drive fitted with the front grill in front of it, now i am not sure if i was mistaken but there were final pictures of the product which did confirm this.
Not sure the site url, should have saved it darn.

Ok think I know what you mean. I think your talking about what is usually known as the "blanking plate mod" or "drive bay cover plate mod" or something along those lines. usually used to keep a flush finish tothe front of a case but can I guess be used under mesh.

re:

from the instruction manual it states that the front mesh has to be removed in order to fit in the drive in those bays, however i am wondering if there are any mods to actually leave the mesh and have them open when the drive opens.
