CoolMaster Fan

Hi there I have read really good things about this Cooling fan ,anyone know if is good ? in a review it said it was quieter than the Artic Freezer 7 .its the CoolMaster Hyper TX Intel (RR-PCH-S9U1-GP) :confused:

The very First Cooling Fan i had was Coolmaster ,it was something like £4.00 and was great !

thats the reason i was interested in this model

Actually, when I first got them, CustomPC had done a review on them in their "test chamber" and were saying that they were pretty much hitting the quoted volumes and airflow. I've just tried to find the review online, but can't :/

The current CM fans are pretty good, very cheap and reasonably quiet particularly when undervolted. And no fan can do 65cfm at 17dba, even some of the better manufacturers lie about their noise levels.
Edit: The specs say it does 38cfm at 17dba, which is still out but much more like it. Have you been able to compare it with some other quiet fans?
I haven't heard much about this one.

There haven't been any really good coolermaster hsf's recently, although the fact that there aren't many around could have more to do with the coolermaster distribution problems in the uk rather than the quality of the hsf's.
I would say out of the two stick with the ac freezer, at least lots of people have that and its known to be good. Are you looking for the best you can get, or are you on a budget?

thanks for the reply ,i,m looking for something quiet ,and not worried about overclocking ,just something better than the Intel fan ,i,m not really on a budget,but don,t want to break the bank ,something up to £40 also not to big .

If its the latter, i'd say go for the freezer and wind the fan speed right down. I'm not sure if they come with a means to do this... do you have a fan controller or some fan controller options in your bios?
The freezer isn't very quiet at full speed (although apparently significantly better than the stock cooler), but at lower speeds it can be pretty quiet and still get the job done.

There are better coolers, but really if you're not overclocking i'm thinking there's not much point wasting money on a really high end cooler.

Hmm I think i'll have to investigate these, they sound very promising.

Thanks very valued points i,m after Quiet as i can get ,but as i,m not going to overclock i tend not to see any point in spending loads,as you mentioned in your answer.The Freezer 7 looks like a good buy ,and it is quiet ,at present i have an AMD CPU and a nice Coolmaster Cooling Fan :confused:
