Hi,
My board is Asus A8N5X skt 939 Nforce 5 with an A64 4000+ san diego. The chip and board support Cool'n'Quiet but I don't see any evidence that it's working. The Cool'n'Quiet software just tells me the chip is at 1.35V / 2400 Mhz the whole time, whereas I've read it should be clocking back and using less voltage when CPU usage is low.
I've enabled cool'n'quiet in the bios, i've installed cool'n'quiet drivers (+ mobo drivers) and i've installed cool'n'quiet software. It says in the mobo manual you should enable 'ACPI 2.0 Support' in your bios, which is funny because there's no such setting, but all the ACPI settings I can see are enabled.
Any ideas? CPU is idling at 41 degrees ATM with a Freezer 64 Pro (@1400 rpm controlled by mobo).
Cheers,
Simon.
