This is why I always recommend the coop electrical shop
I had a microwave from them that developed a grinding noise when it was in use and they arranged for a courier to do a swap the very next day.

Now after 2 months with the new machine trips all the electric when you press start so I emailed them asking if I could have a different model because I have no faith in daewoo's build quality anymore and I got this response.
Dear Mr. ARKNOR OF OCUK,

I’m very sorry the replacement microwave has developed a fault as well.

We are more than happy to arrange for an exchange, and you can indeed select another model if you so wish. We would give you full credit towards another (i.e £89.99), and obviously any differences in price would need to be settled accordingly.

Please take a look at our website for another and we will make the necessary arrangements.

Kind regards,
Co-operative e-stores & electrical buying group

Best customer service ever! no arguing , no long boring emails back and fourth both times my email only contained the fault and my order number.

That is indeed good service.

Edit: Although it is within your rights, it's nice when a company doesn't make it any tougher than it needs to be.

Used the Co-op, a few times for white goods. They have always been competitive on price. You can book a delivery time and they always been spot on. I'd happily use them again.

yea I've had a fridge-freezer and a washing machine from them as well and they always came within the first 15 minutes of the 1 hour time slot they gave me.

Anyway I told them want :D

Hopefully it will be reliable for that price :D

Should have gone for Panasonic in the first place!

Good luck in your new Micro :D
yea but I thought daewoo were at least a decent make.....

Guess not when 2 microwaves both only last around 2 months and both different faults....

I'm sure the panasonic build quality will be light years ahead

sweet had to phone up and give them the extra payment. (exchanging for a much more expensive model)

I was told the earliest free delivery date would be Monday or he could upgrade me to Saturday delivery for free if I preffered :D

That is quality service. Am still looking for a new washing machine but they don't stock LG, which is a shame. Might go for the Samsung Ecobubble with £50 cashback and 5 years warranty thrown in,

yea that's a shame I was wanting whatever the lowest kg model lg do but coop don't stock lg so I just went with a really cheap beko instead lol.
More than happy with it so far though it's very quiet.

the only bad thing about the coop website is all the reviews pretty much only talk about the delivery experience and not many people review the actual product.

if you look at all the reviews though you will notice the coop obviously read every last one of them because anyone who said they had a negative experience have all been replied to which is rather nice and going that extra mile

We got our Range cooker from Co op, seemed decent enough and properly delivered by two chaps who carried it in, unpacked it and checked it was ok - even took the rubbish away and let me keep the wood frame that i chopped for kindling!

Initial impressions of them were positive.

microwave arrived :D

looks total bad ass compared to the crap daewoo one and even has a full size grill element inside LMFAO! the daewoo one just had 2 little tubes in the ceiling that looked like mini t5 lights instead of a proper heating element
check all the accessories it came with as well :D

Expensive for a microwave but I live alone and don't feel the need for a cooker as I'm only ever cooking for one, looks like this should perform in oven and grill mode to the same standards as a regular cooker anyway :) it's basically a real oven with a microwave built it :D

wow 157 page manual fully English with nothing repeated inside it :O
panasonic sure do know how to write a good book!

It has a "Chaos Defrost" and "Crispy Top" button!! This sounds like a mans microwave.. Bet there's a "Fire Photon Torpedo" button somewhere too..;):)

it seems pretty clever it even says in the instructions you can put tins inside as long as they have a seamed edge :O and tin foil takeaway box things (basically any kind of metal aslong as it has smooth edges) but they must only be placed on the top shelf or arcing will happen

There must be some kind of anti arcing ward going on Panasonic must be wizards or something

I put a mates Twirl bar in the microwave at work not realising there was some metallic content or something in the wrapper. Microwave, had cough... "issues" with it, like a little lightening storm in a box and it needed a rest for a while.

Microwave ovens are great, warm up so much quicker and take less time to cook :)

yea just tested out cooking a frozen thin and crispy pizza :D
did turbo mode @ 240c oven , level 1 grill , microwave setting on simmer.

cooked in 7mins :D the base was a bit floppy though so I stuck it back in for another 2 mins on just oven mode at 200c and it was perfect :D

I find over only mode is much better.

Say if a pizza says it should be done at 180°c for 12 minutes, I do it at 160°c for 8-10 minutes and it's bang on generally :)

yea I'll probably stick to normal oven mode for the majority of stuff I just wanted to test the setting as it's what the manual advises for frozen pizzas.

Next time I'll test the pizza auto sense setting that apparently detects the weight of the food and measures the moisture content of the food whilst it cooks

My cheapo Cookwooks microwave from Argos is starting to give up. Makes a strange wurring sound. Has lasted around 5 years so not too bad.

Want a beast for my next microwave like the OP's but don't want to splash that much cash. :o
