Cop simulator or cop vs robber car games?

Just thought this might be a good game to try so wondering if anyone had made any that you may know about and can let me know. Somit with big citys as well.
 
The original Driver was a great game if you like car chases, as were some of the older Need for Speed games, such as Hot Pursuit.
 
I couldnt even do the training thing for driver so never actually played the campagin just freeride kinda. I know lame but i just couldnt do them parking lot things. :p

I thought maybe a cop simulator where there was a city you patroled and you have to do everything by the book which might have been good, like patrol highways and chase car steelers and arrest them in a proper way. Kinda like police quest games but a fully car version.
 
i reckon R* should do a game like that, GTA but your a cop, think it would be original to what GTA series churns out all the time.
 
GTA4 Multiplayer has this mode Cops and Crooks 4tw but that doesnt help since your looking for PC Games :(
 
Yeah if R* did a opposite role with a future game as in a gta or new franchise where your a cop and you gotta clean up the city ala gta style that would be mint.
 
Probably not what you have in mind but SWAT4 is some good law enforcement action.

Being SWAT it's not normal cops though, and it's not in open cities (just buildings).

Oh jees! I can't believe I forgot about that one!

Really love SWAT4, it's a really good FPS with nice little touches to it.

Tazer, stunguns, non-lethal weapons.... planning your attacks and controlling your teams, telling one lot to enter from one side of the building silently by picking a lock... whilst you shoot open a door with a shot gun.

Everyone runs at you when your team come in from behind with flash bang grenades... Rubber bullets flying around and you take down the bad guys :)

Lots of fun to be had on SWAT 4 if you like a good tactical FPS! :D:cool:
 
this does seem a toughy. la true crime streets thing isnt that good at all. its more like taking the law into your own hands and i found it bit of a rip off compared to gta, (gta3 at the time) i actually hunted down criminals and patroled in a cop car many times. for example watching out for fights and car jacking and the like (because it really does happen in the game). good times.

other than that and driver i cant really recommend any others...yes it would be nice to have a game like you are describing but at the moment i just cant think of any of the top of my head. ill have a dig in my ward drobe for some old stuff :)
 
Live for speed is a racing sim with good physics and car tuning, it has cruise servers where you go on, drive around the track for money to unlock more of the cars, you can be police on the servers as well and theres usually big chases and police tactics being used like boxing, pitting etc.
