Ok folks I have my yellow belt jujitsu grading tomorrow, and the examiners apparently try to intimidate you as much as possible. I know my stuff, but what's the best way to block out all the crap and just get on with it?

I do bujutsu, and to be honest blocking out intimidation is easy, just keep them out your personal space and on the 3rd entry of said zone nail the loser.

Well the 1st time some body enters the space, they are testing you for a reaction of mental weakness, the 2nd a test of strength, on the 3rd entry odds on they will start an offensive. So on the 3rd test you preempt it and disable the opponent, with resonable force.

Just suck it up and take it. Its all part of the learning curve. Dont take it personally, and dont block it out, or you might miss out on anything he is throwing at you indirectly.

lol so on the 3rd try my Uke attacks I disable him/her for the rest of the grading? :p

Think i'll pass on that one

If you're focused enough, you should be able to do a grading under any conditions.

Try getting yourself into a frame of mind where you're the best, you're there because you deserve to be there and you're going to educate the other students as to how it should be done. Take the intimidation as a challenge, "bring it on" etc..
