I'm just wondering if anyone has ever used copper Pipe to watercool their system. Was thinking about doing it but I can't find copper Pipe that will fit the hardline Fittings or Fittings that will fit standard copper Pipe size. Does anyone know how I would do this because I have seen people do it but can only find pictures no info

If you want to use specialist hardline fittings like the EK-HDC ones you'll be needing soft copper 12mm tube. This isn't really used in this country much but it I still found it in my local plumbing supply shop.

Then you'll need to get a pipe-straightener. I have one of these: http://www.kwixuk.com/product.html

and a 12mm bender. They are either very expensive or cheap and not very good (I have the latter :) ).

Had a look for 12mm coil but it's like double the price of the 10mm stuff but that pipe straightener looks great was wondering how you straighten the pipe.managed to find some g1/4 10mm push fit Fittings. What do you think to those. Have only seen push fit on plumbing not watercooling. What do you reckon to those?

I haven't used push fitting so I can't really comment, but I would feel safer with the EK-HDC fittings.

As to tubing price unless you are buying a huge amount it's not going to cost that much more is it?

OK cool i think I'll do more research around it. The pipe seems to only come in 10 meter coils. That's why it's expensive. Will try a few more plumbing shops see if I can get smaller bits
