Copper rings/washers in headset ...

... wtf are they for?

Had a headset for our dw8 engined 306 arrive this morning, head gasket, bolts, rocket gaskets, stem seals, etc.

AND 8 thin copper rings, looks like the outer 1mm of a 1p piece.

Anybody know what these are for? I don't remember taking anything like them off the head.

They seem to fit the end of an injector, but i've only got 4 injectors ...

Valve seats?

Looks like crush washers to me, but I doubt you'd use them to seat the injectors.

I've still no idea what for though.

Either that or I'd say valve seat shims, but these would usually be steel.

The headbolts come with their own captive washers.
