As I should be recieving a nice new 250gb sata2 hdd, I want to copy my current c: onto it including windows, so that the new hdd is bootable and set up in exactly the same way, I'm sure this is possible but what is the best tool to use to do so?

Thanks

I used norton ghost to copy my 2 ide hdds onto one sata disk worked a treat then I used partition magic to resize the partitions :D

Cheers for all the replies guys

does the trial of acronis allow me to do this from within window or is it bootable, or do I have to buy it for the feature to be unlocked? (you know some trials are naff to use this feature purchase here etc)

Acronis TrueImage worked for me as well, I was quite scared to do it as I went from DE to SATA-II RAID-0 but it worked without problems, it even allows full control over partiton size.
