Hi all, I was just wondering if anyone had any successful method/device for moving PS2 saves from a PC to a PS2 mamory card? My 60gig PS3 just blew up and in the absence of being able to find a new one I'm going to bite the bullet and get a PS2 so I can finish off Final Fantasy X with a save which I'd backed up to my PC. The big question obviously is getting it from my PC to the memory card- can anyone help?

Merry Christmas!!

dont know much about it, but id hazzard a guess at your pretty much screwed if you dont have a card slot

only way i can think of it pc -> ps2 memory card -> memory card adaptor thing for ps3 -> ps3

Thanks for the reply, but I think you misunderstand, I'm cutting thr PS3 out of the equation entirely and just using a PS2; I have a PS2 save on my PC and I wanna know how I can use it with said PS2.

The only way I might think of is long winded.

Take the HD out of the PS2, put it in your PC. Transfer the saved game files over to the PS HD and then put the PS HD back into the PS2.

Probably take an hour if you know what you're doing.

Since when do PS2s have a HD? Assuming you meant the PS3, it dosn't work because they use a proprietary file system which can't be read on a PC. Like I said, what I'm really looking to do is be able to copy info from my PC to a PS2 memory card or some way of otherwise achieving the same thing. I know there are a few devices out there but I was wondering if anyone's actually had success with such things?

Datel do (or at least did!) a memory card manager for the PS2 which was a CD that allowed you to access a USB device from the PS2. You could then copy saves from a PS2 memory card to USB stick and vice versa.

However the problem would be that the PS3 uses a proprietary save system for exported PS1/2 saves which is not compatible with the above software, so I don't think there is any way to take the .PSV save file you have and copy it on to the PS2 memory card.
