How do you get passed copy right when you upload game videos to youtube etc. I tested 2 games with a 10 second clip and both I got banned until I took them down. One was SimCity 2013 the other city skylines. How do people get away with copy right putting full games on?. This was ages ago and it took both hours to upload as I only get 0.98 upload speed and still do..

I no it be easier if I upgraded my internet speed but I'm not in charge of it as still with parents and its them. Asking them is like asking a 90 year old they don't like change. Any way my brother just upgraded his broadband to fiber and he said I could use his internet at his house to upload. So how do I get around copy right?.

Sorry, but you can't get banned for uploading two videos that have been hit by a copyright strike as that takes three to close the channel down and strikes remain on your account for at least 6 months before they are removed so it's more then likely that the videos were content ID claimed (however the system might have been different back when you tried it).

Gameplay videos are now covered under fair use with most if not all companies being fine with gameplay videos of their games being uploaded (just don't upload any gameplay videos of slime-san with the audio on since you'll have an instant content ID claim to deal with) to youtube (unless they decide one time to be complete morons about a new game where they want their video to have higher views then any other and wield the copyright strike hammer around killing off any other video), but there are scumbags that will content ID or make copyright claims on videos fir gameplay that they have no legal claim of copyright over so the first port of call is to google the name of the claimant as the scumbags will always have people up in arms about their false claims.

Never had any issues with uploading gameplay clips - the only exception really is if you've added music that you don't have a license to use but even then usually a few seconds worth is covered in fair use.

In all honesty here I've never had any issues other than uploading a video of a leaked early copy of crysis 3 (couldn't resist) many moons ago. Those are the things you get strikes for not for uploading regular game play.

Who knows how YouTube works? I've mentioned it before in other threads, but a mate of mine is a song-writer/composer/performer and kept on getting copyright notices from YouTube to take music down off of his channel. The thing is it's all his own work, as in original and composed/written by his own hand. Yet even though he spent sometime disputing these take down orders and filing God knows how many disputes via the official channels he got nowhere.

Sorry I should have explained more.

I could still watch videos It was banning on commenting and uploading other videos. This was in 2014 and I deleted the vids straight away as soon as I saw the notice. Both was music copy right I had music on in option but only game music but it still got copyrighted which I don't see why as it only in game music. It wasn't music like in fallout 4 radio music or anything it was just the game back ground music.

music avoid almost all together.also some companies wont let you upload footage or monetize their footage.so best to check for if you need permission from them first.also even if you have permission some times ingame music can still get a copyright infringement from youtube.
