I write a lot of articles for my job and that involves reading a lot. Sometimes we use quotes and whatnot from other articles and I noticed that a lot of sites manage to include a link to their own article when you copy from theirs, like this:

Lewis Godfrey, 23, suffered such horrendous injuries that doctors pronounced him dead twice. The smash had left him so badly injured his insides were left strewn across the road and he was rushed to hospital with his body parts held together in a blanket.

Our content ends up strewn across the internet like most but we haven't got whatever it is that links you to the article on your site plus your Facebook page and all that jazz.

Surely it's just a simple piece of code embedded somewhere? Was hoping someone could tell me.

Cheers

having a scan through the source code it includes the javascripts that they use and the script in question looks like this:

Code:
<script type="text/javascript">
DM.has('shareLink', 'shareLinks', {
'id': '2232291',
'title': 'The 34 NHS staff who saved man whose body was held together with a BLANKET after he was hit by a 15 tonne lorry and declared dead TWICE\n',
'url': 'http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2232291/Man-body-held-BLANKET-hit-15-tonne-lorry-makes-miraculous-recovery.html',
'eTwitterStatus': 'Man%20whose%20body%20was%20held%20together%20with%20a%20BLANKET%20after%20he%20was%20hit%20by%20a%2015%20tonne%20lorry%20makes%20a...%20http:\/\/bit.ly\/W5dDZQ%20via%20@MailOnline'
});
</script>

I've no experience with jscript so hopefully someone else can help a bit further or see if this is the full script or not.

EDIT: My google skills are better than jscript skills :p
