Copying files, keep creation date

Ive got 2 hard drives in RAID0 that I no longer want to keep in RAID, so i want to copy everything over to another HDD whilst keeping the original date they were created, then I want to copy everything back over to the separated drives. Reason is, I like to sort some of my directories by Date Created so i can easily see what new files i have downloaded

Ideas?

I thought the creation date should remain intact no matter how many times a file is moved. The Last Modified date might change however.

I have gone through a half-dozen PCs at work in the last 12 years, and I still have files dated from the late nineties as I have transferred them over to the newer PCs.

Test it with a couple sample files and it should stay the same.

edit: looks to be just the "Date" column, not "Date Created" that gives the accurate data.

If you want to be sure then robocopy has an option to copy timestamps, along with other things like attributes, security etc.
