Have a look here and see what you think.

If it is genuinely the case that sharing a folder amounts to breach of copyright then why is Microsoft not guilty of this by sharing out my D$ share with all my music on ?

The fact that I have a firewall to stop it happening is irrelevant to MS making it available in the first place ?

The whole world is going mad !

Of course it's breach of copyright.

Ms share is over local network only. Ie your own computer to what also should be your own computer. When you set up the network it also asks if you want to share files or not. It has nothing to do with MS.

MS share out your D folder? You can't even share over the internet.. o.O

All drives have an administrative default share. However, people still need to give authentication details to be able to access it. So if you don't give out an admin account username and password it is secure, hence why this has nothing to do with MS.
