Corsair XMS2 5400UL timings at 533MHz

I have got two sets of Corsair XMS2 TWIN2X1024A-5400UL 675MHz and the recommended timings @ 675MHz on one set are 3-2-2-8 and on the other set the recommended timings are 3-3-2-8, i have been running both sets at 3-3-2-8 @ 667MHz without any problem at all.

The question i want to ask is, if i run both sets with timings of 3-2-2-8 @ 533MHz would the overall performance be better with my Core 2 Duo E6600 with a 266*4/1066 FSB as the memory would be running at a ratio of 1:1 with the CPU FSB, or would the overall performance be better with timings of 3-3-2-8 @ 667MHz with the same CPU FSB of 266*4/1066.

Thanks!

oooo we got the same mem and mobo, but i got the E6300 :( .

anyway im not a keen overclocker and i know nothing about ram overclocking etc etc. And i was wondering -
my system isnt hot atall, do you think i can run the same setting as you?

my CPU is overclocked too 320*7(was 400 *7 but lowered as garrys mod kept crashing at lan) memory is getting 2 volts with suggested timings of 444 12.

as for your performance question, all i can say is test both settings..

If the memory you have is (XMS2 TWIN2X1024A-5400UL) then maybe, the timings might be different depending on the revision, i have listed below the (Corsair) recommended timings, voltage and speed for the different revisions, you will find the revision of your memory printed on the label stuck to the heat spreader of your memory.

Timings for rev 1.4 & below, @675MHz.

SDRAM CAS Latency: 3T
SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 2T
SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 2T (Revised 6/27/2005)
SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 8T
SDRAM Write Recovery Time: 4
DDR2 SDRAM Voltage: 2.1

Timings for rev 1.5 & above, @675MHz.

SDRAM CAS Latency: 3T
SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 2T
SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3T (Revised 6/27/2005)
SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 8T
SDRAM Write Recovery Time: 4
DDR2 SDRAM Voltage: 2.1

Hope this helps!
