Cordair vengeance heatspreader loose how to fix

I think you will find that's too thin. It's aimed at ramsinks on graphics cards. The heatspreaders on ram are usually held on by double sided thermal pads but you will need the correct thickness as they range from 1-5mm.


***Edit*** Just checked my spare set of Corsair XMS3 and that appears to be held on by thermal tape in which case the Akasa kit would be fine.

i checked the one that its loose on and to be honest i think its around 3mm or close...all i can do is order it and see when it comes ....thanks for checking pastymuncher...
 
That Akasa stuff is a bugger to get off (it's why i use it on GPU ram and mosfets :D). Just make sure that it's going to be the right stuff because with something the size of the heatspreader i would say that "once it's on, it's really on"!!
 
to be honest ive removed and fitted the memory over the last few days quite a few times as its close to were the H60 goes and ive been trying Exhaust/Intake...push and pull moved fans around...so thats probably how its become loose lol.
