Is there anyone who can recommend a decent cordless keyboard and mouse....I'm after cordless so can remove the cables off my desk to keep it tidy.

They will mainly be used for gaming and net browsing.

arrrghghh you do not want to use cordless fro gaming

I've owned a cordless mouse in the past and it was fine for my needs, before it died of course....

Currently own a MX518. Which although is good, I don't use and make the most of the gaming functions. So i would be more than happy to go to cordless again

Can any recommend a decent cordless keyboard and mouse?

I have a Logitech MX Revolution (previously had an MX1000) and a Cherry Barracuda keyboard.

I'd recommend them to anyone. If you can justify spending £50 and £30 respectively...

Anyone who says cordless is crap for gaming is just wrong. Lag is non-existent and mouse wires just get in the way.

When cordless was first introduced I heard lots of reports that the battery life on them wasn't so good and they didn't last very long. Has much changed? I'm still using cord myself.

My MX1000 went for 2, maybe 3 days of heavy usage.

The Rev probably goes for almost a week.

They both have battery meters and charging doesn't take long at all so it isn't a problem.

As for the keyboard. It takes 2 AA batterys. Had it for maybe a month now and they're still going.

Personally Wilbo I would go for corded keyboard/mouse. I have a dell keyboard that I got from a popular auction site - I used them at uni all the time and they are superb quality, slim-line etc. Cost me less than a tenner:
